This video looks at the structure of organisations, at how briefings are managed, and at how presentations are given. A London journalist visits the BBC World Service, an international radio station based in London. She finds out about the structure of the BBC World Service, hears how the World Service plans its new broadcasts through daily briefings, and attends a presentation at which a member of the World Service Training Group talks about the changes the BBC is having to make to keep up with developments in technology and increased competition. This video is acccompanied by a FREE activities video booklet which is suitable for both classroom and individual use. The activities range from scene setting, initial comprehension and language centred exercises to more open-ended activities, such as role play and opinion giving. This booklet covers all three videos in the series.
