StudyPack Systems thinking and practice: diagramming - T552

This pack introduces the use of diagrams to support thinking about complex situations, and to aid communication of complex ideas. It provides advice on the reading, drawing and uses of diagrams in systems work.

It is a resource for the three undergraduate systems courses T205 Systems Thinking: Principles and Practice, T306 Managing complexity: A systems approach and the summer school based course TXR248 Experiencing Systems. It can also be used as a stand-alone introduction to systems diagramming.

An extended glossary gives guidelines on the use of 20 different diagram types, organised by type of use.
