Geography

Geography goes far beyond locations and landscapes. From climate change and cultural differences to politics and populations, geography’s diversity is its strength and makes it one of the most stimulating subjects you can study.

Geography at the OU explores searching questions about how our complex world is changing. You’ll understand how places develop a distinctive character, why places are meaningful to people, and how processes of globalisation influence places in a variety of ways across the world.

Geography is particularly relevant to development and aid agencies, and organisations involved in heritage, the environment, leisure, tourism, and town and transport planning.
